Joey Ward previously interned with Align Impact in the summer of 2020 before joining full time as a Data Analyst on their Operations team. He is passionate about leveraging data to solve our greatest challenges. In tackling these challenges, he has completed research comparing corporate impact models as well as designing solutions to increase corporate giving using the platform Millie. Before starting at Align, Joey has worked as an impact consulting intern at Council Fire, a sustainability consulting firm based in Annapolis, MD.
He holds a B.S. in International Business with a minor in Spanish and a B.S. in Operations Management & Business Analytics from the University of Maryland. During his time in school, Joey became a leader in community building on campus. He held involvement-based leadership roles in three on-campus organizations and was a founding member to a diversity, equity, and inclusion coalition and an LGBTQ+ student affinity organization. For his work, he was awarded the Ed Snider Student Leadership Award at the end of his senior year.
